Founded on a beach in Tulum, CARAVANA celebrates artisanal beauty through a collective of traditional craftspeople creating handmade garments, accessories, and lifestyle products in Mexico. Many pieces are woven on pedal looms and knotted, fringed, or frayed by hand. This results in designs imbued with meaning and tradition.
THE FOUNDER
CARAVANA was born from the vision of pioneer and free spirit Jacopo Ianniello as he aimed to connect with Mayan culture and have a meaningful impact on fellow free thinkers around the world.
Since its inception in 2009, CARAVANA has gone on to encapsulate the timelessness of a certain Tulum aesthetic, as well as acting as a platform for the preservation of Mayan crafting techniques.
CARAVANA is a collective of artisans that aims to create contemporary clothing pieces while paying homage to the ancestral roots that initially inspired this journey. With this in mind, every CARAVANA piece is made using a fusion of innovative processes blended together with ancient skills that have been passed down through generations.
