Styrax benzoin

It was one of the most appreciated varieties of incense resin which reached in the mediterranean through the silk road for thousands of years in the east its smoke has been believed to bring good luck and to protect the home from adversities. Origin: the styrax benzoin is a very tall tree (up to 20 meters tall) which grows exclusively in tropical asia.

Form: reddish resin which hardens upon contact with air and sunlight.
